Another Reason I Love Lowden

While Lowden was eating dinner tonight, he said:

Lowden: Mom, you are one of the best cooks I know. (I am lucky he doesn't know many cooks.)
Mom: Thanks Lowden!
Lowden: No Offense to Dad...but you are a better cook by one billion.
Mom: I love you!

Summer Chp. 4 - Mel and The Cousins Came To Town

We were very glad to see Melanie's family this summer!

Lauren had a great time with her cousins Jadi and Natalie.

Mr. Carson and Bennett had fun running around together at the Hansen house.

Parker and his very tall cousin, Danny

Danny and Lowden

No family gathering would be complete without one of Grandpa's family hay rides!

Hang on tight!
A bunch of our family and the Pelinkas!

And it's always nice to end with a picnic on Grandpa and Grandma's lawn. (Watch out for deer droppings!)

The Happenings of Mr. B

Being the amazing mother that I am, I am posting a picture from Bennett's first day of preschool (that was TWO months ago!)
He absolutely loves going to school! He has the same teacher Lauren had and she is really great! He has made lots of friends and it learning some more social skills. He is working on writing his name more clearly. It is all great practice for next fall when he starts Kindergarten.

Now fast forward to now...Bennett insisted I write down his wish list for Santa the other day. I like a child who plans ahead. I think he gets that from me! And here it is:

Bennett's Christmas Wish List

1. Big Red* "Pig" Bank
2. Indiana Jones Legos
3. Lego- Star Wars Legos
4. Football- Little One
5. Club Penguin Membership
6. Blue Lightsaber
7. Web Kinz- A Little Doggy
8. Remote Control Robot
9. Club Penguin Scuba Guy Figurine and Switchbox
* Red is his favorite color!

"The Sheriff"

Lowden came up with this song today and he really wanted me to send it to his rockstar uncle, Michael. We are all huge fans of Michael, otherwise known as Sir Anthony's Ghost, and we can be caught dancing to his catchy tunes in our kitchen most days. Lowden calls this song "The Sheriff" and for sure ...not "Hobo in the Forrest".

Parker the pirate

Mr. Crew (Dinosaur)
Natalie (stylish cat), Avery (Autumn), and Emily (Witch) made a new friend!
Little Miss Molly (Belle)
Brooke the witch and Ethan, her little pumpkin.

It was such a great night!

We ♥ Carving Pumpkins!

Lauren and Parker were ready to carve their home-boy pumpkins!

Lowden has never been a huge fan of pumpkin goo on his hands. He was grateful for the scraper that came with the pumpkin carving kit we bought this year.

And, no one was more excited to carve their pumpkin than Bennett!

With some encouragement from Parker to stick his hand in the pumpkin guts, Bennett plunged his hand in with eyes closed:
Bennett: "Parker could you help me?"
"OK. My turn."
"Got one!"
"The guts are sticky!"
"I got a seed. Cool!"
"Is there any more seeds and any more guts?"
Mom: "What's on your hands?"
Bennett: "Guts! Parker I need a towel! Parker!!!"
