Happy Father's Day

(On the way to church today...running a little late.)

On this special day for fathers, I've decided to let the kids tell you why Greg is so great! I asked them each the following questions:

1. What is something your dad does better than most dads?
2. What is the memory you cherish of your dad?
3. What is your favorite thing about your dad?
4. Is there anything else you'd like to say about your dad?

Here are their responses:

Lowden-
1. Baseball. He's a great thrower. He makes it easy to catch balls.
2. The time he took me and Parker to the opening day of the Ducks football team. That was a great day!
3. His activeness and love! He has a lot of meetings, work, and such. But, he always puts in as much time as he can for his kids!
4. He is the most amazing, loving person that I know. And, he's tied with mom for niceness. You're both really nice to me. I said that so you won't feel bad mom....plus it's true!

Parker-
1. Hmm... This is a hard one. He plays with us a lot. Like sports. He helps me learn my skills. He plays with us nice, and he's got lots of sense of humor!
2. Going to Six Flags with him because it was really fun! It was so fun because there were lots of rides I liked. I like the water boat type water roller coaster thing.
3. He takes showers. Don't write that. My favorite thing is my favorite thing. He's nice.
4. He's the best daddy in the world. He RULES and rules has capital letters.

Lauren-
1. He takes us places. Like he takes us to fun stuff. Like lasertag, snow places, restaurants.
OK. I think that's enough.
2. The day that we went to lasertag. That was the dream of my life because it's so fun! Because it's like "pow pow pow gotcha!"
3. He's funny and teases me a lot which sometimes I don't really like. He tells jokes. He is funny with me like with thumb war cause he goes "woop woo woop woo". He's so funny!!!
4. He's so cool! Yo baby-O. He's awesome. He plays fun games with us. He's really nice!

Bennett-
(Note- there is a bit of a language barrier because he's four. But this is what I got out of him.)
1. When he has a card from B-E-N-N-E-T-T Bennett! He draws smiley faces.
2. I don't want some memory. When dad plays with me because he's in charge because he know what I need to do. That's what mom!
3. Playing a game with my dad.
4. I'll tell you what else makes me happy. When, you know, someone makes me happy, I want to play with them. That's everything I want to do. Thanks mom!

(Father's Day dinner. Polynesian pork sandwiches, spinach salad, and tapioca pudding per Greg's request.)

*I borrowed this idea from Jessica R. who did something similar a year ago. It was really funny and in borrowing it, I mean the highest compliment!*

We are also looking forward to seeing Grandpa Bob in a week! I wrote a post about my dad at the beginning of the year. You can read it here. Love you dad!
