I am sure you are tired of reading about last summer. But for posterity sake, it must be done.
The weekend before school began Martin and Greg took their oldest kids on a hike in the Three Sisters Wilderness.
Left to Right - The hikers, as relayed by Parker, are:
Lowden- AKA "The Squito Master" because he barely got bit at all by mosquitoes
Martin- AKA "Sweaty Yeti" because....why? I don't know why.
Parker- AKA "The Sneakster" because I'm good at card games.
Morgan- AKA "Captain Morgan" because she was usually in the front of everybody
Olivia- AKA "Sweet Veins" because ALL the mosquitoes were after her.
Greg- AKA "The Huckle Hunk" because he really really, really, liked huckleberries!
Here are some highlight pictures:
Um....no one told me my kids would have to cross a river?!!
Is that a bear cub in the tree? No. It's PARKER!!!
And look it's the bear cub's older sister!
I'm with Morgan. The shore looks warmer!
Might as well have a snack while your waiting!
Only YOU can prevent forest fires!

Thanks for posting such hot pics of my husband. Be still my beating heart.
That "bridge" is in serious need of some repair :) Looks like a fun outing!
I'm pretty sure that is NOT my kind of camping...I prefer the drive up camp sites with warm showers and plug ins for my hair dryer thank you.
What a fun time! I'm sure they'll remember this trip forever!
Those are amazing pictures. What great memories. I love your crazy kids post too. I fill like that most days with my boys climbing all over me and going all crazy.
That looks like some serious hiking! It also looks like they had a total blast. Love all the hiking names:0)
I didn't know that you took pictures, I have just started up again. I am thinking of upgradeing my Photoshop to a CS4, what do you think? Which one do you do? and do you take your pictures RAW? I have been trying new things, but I would love it if we could get together sometime and share ideas!!!! Love April Cottle 746-9571
This post was just plain good for my heart! I loved seeing these pictures of "home". Beautiful!
