Stormtroopers, Obi-Wan, Buzz Lightyear and a Veterinarian oh my!!! (Sometimes Lauren still says Vegetarian instead. She wants to be a Veternarian when she grows up). They were all dressed up for our ward's annual Trunk or Treat!

The Pumpkin Patch
The weather was beautiful today! So we were able to make it out to the local pumpkin patch. It was still a little bit muddy. But, fairly reasonable for this time of year. So we were out in the field looking for pumpkins ....and my mom and Greg realized that when you rubbed your hand along the outside of some of the pumpkins, they vibrated. It felt so weird! At first they weren't sure why. Then they realized that they were below electric wires. Hmm.... It did feel like electricity was going through the inside of the pumpkin. Anyway, so interesting... We found three pumpkins including this cool bumpy one to take home. Although there was lots of deliberating and kids saying "How about this one?"

Bennett's School Field Trip
I just love Autumn! Especially in Oregon...there are so many vivid colors and the air is just a little crisp. Bennett had a field trip to the pumpkin patch today. Grandma Lynda came too! It was muddy and mucky (like usual in Oregon). But, we had a great time. We were just SO thankful it wasn't raining like the forecast had said--"Friday-Tons of Rain". It was yesterday but not today! Phew. He had a great time. Bennett was so excited to see everything! Pointing every which way. Saying "look mom a tree", "look at the leaves", "what's that mom?", and on and on. My favorite thing he said was when we were on the tractor ride and he saw a port-a-potty in the field. He shouted out "I SEE THE POTTY!" (Pointing frantically) He was so excited! Also, I was commenting on how much mud and hay was stuck to his shoes and he said "I like mud on my shoes mom!". There you go...a boy through and through.

Getaway
Greg and I were able to get away for a couple days to Portland by ourselves! Thanks to Grandma Lynda! It was so nice to be able to talk at a normal volume without any crashing or crazy monkey-like sounds in the background. So fun! We walked around the Portland Temple where we were married almost 13 years ago. It's still as beautiful as ever!

Sunday Walk
On Sunday, we took a walk together with Grandma Lynda. We went down by Autzen Stadium and over to the footbridge that goes over the Willamette River. It was a beautiful day for October.
Greg and I had ended our first date on this footbridge. Talking and talking... We even have a similar picture to this one of the two of us. I will post it soon! And now look at the product of that first date....these four sweet, crazy monkeys....got to love them!!!
